How the Starting Math Domain Gets Set
Every Math group starts at a particular point in the Math curriculum, called the starting Math Domain. So you don’t have to figure this out on your own, the platform sets it automatically when you create a Math group. You can always review it, and change it if needed, on the group’s Group Details page. This applies to Math groups only; Reading groups don’t use a Math Domain.
How the Platform Chooses
When you create a Math group, the platform sets the starting Domain to Number Systems if that Domain is part of the group’s Program. If Number Systems isn’t part of the Program, it falls back to the first available Math Domain in the Program’s order.
How to Review or Change It

Open the group. From My Students -> Groups, click the Math group you want.

Find the starting Math Domain. It’s shown on the Group Details page.

Change it if needed. Pick a different Domain if the automatic choice isn’t the right starting point for your students, then save.
When to Adjust It
The automatic Domain is a starting point, not a final decision. If your group has already covered Number Systems elsewhere, or you know they need to begin somewhere else, set the Domain that matches where they actually are.
