The Up Next Banner
The Up Next banner sits at the top of your Dashboard and highlights the next session on your schedule, so you don’t have to scan the day to find what’s coming. It carries the session’s key details plus a one-click action to start it.
What the Banner Shows
The banner reads as a single line, starting with Up Next: and then pulling together the things you need to walk into the session:
- The program, followed by the assigned lesson or assessment.
- Who the session is with, introduced by “with”. Names show as a first name plus last initial, and multiple students are listed out.
- The start time, introduced by “at”.
There’s also an X at the far right that dismisses the banner for the session you’re looking at. It comes back on its own when your next session changes, so dismissing it doesn’t hide anything permanently.
The Action Button
The button at the end of the banner reads Start Session. See Starting a Session From Your Dashboard for what happens next.
Spark assigns content to your group’s next session for you, so the banner has something to start. See How Content Gets Assigned to Your Sessions.
Start Session stays greyed out until it’s close enough to the start time. Hover over it and Spark tells you when you’ll be able to join.
