Starting a Session From Your Dashboard
Once a lesson is assigned, you start a session from the Up Next banner at the top of the Dashboard.
From the Up Next Banner
The Up Next banner highlights the next session on your schedule, so it’s the quickest path when you’re starting the very next thing on your day. If a lesson has been assigned, the action button on the right reads Start Session - click it to open the lesson and begin teaching.
If no lesson is assigned yet, the banner shows a clear note that no lesson is set, and the button reads Assign Lesson instead. Once a lesson is assigned, the button flips to Start Session. See Assigning a Lesson to an Upcoming Session for that flow.
If a session has no lesson assigned, assign one before you start - see Assigning a Lesson to an Upcoming Session. You can also reach a session from your daily schedule by clicking it and choosing Join Session from the menu that opens.
If You Don’t See a Way to Start
Join Session and Start Session only appear when it’s nearly time. You can’t launch a session hours ahead of schedule, and you can’t rejoin one after its end time has passed. If neither option is showing, check the session’s start time on your schedule.
The lesson name on a session block is a separate thing: clicking it opens that lesson in the Library in a new tab so you can look it over. It doesn’t start the session. See Previewing a Lesson Before You Teach.
