What Student Data You Can See
As an Instructor, the student data you see across Spark is scoped to the students assigned to you. This is true everywhere - your My Students table, your groups, your sessions, and your reports. You won’t see students who belong to other Instructors or who haven’t been assigned to you, even if they attend the same school.
Where Scoping Applies
- My Students. Your student table lists only the students assigned to you. See Reading the My Students Table.
- Reports. The Growth Report and Progress Reports reflect only your assigned students. See Reading the Growth Report and Reading a Progress Report.
- Assessments. Assessment results you review are limited to your assigned students. See Reviewing Assessment Results.
How Students Get Into Your View
Students appear in your view once your school administrator assigns them to you. If you expect to see a student who isn’t there, they may not be assigned to you yet, or they may be assigned to a different Instructor. See How students get assigned to me.
Common Issues
A Student I Work with Isn’t Showing Up
The most likely reason is that the student isn’t assigned to you. Scoping is based on assignment, not on which school a student attends, so students at your school won’t appear until they’re assigned to you specifically. Check with your school administrator if you believe a student should be in your view.
