Previewing a Lesson Before You Teach
Before you teach, it’s worth opening the lesson so nothing is a surprise once students are in front of you. You can preview a lesson two ways: from the session that’s coming up, or by browsing the Curriculum Library on your own. Either way, you can view the materials but not change them.
From the Up Next Banner
When a session is next on your schedule, its Up Next banner lays out the Session Agenda: each student paired with what they’re assigned to. From there you can open the materials for the lesson:
- The Lesson Plan opens the teaching document in a new tab.
- The Teaching Slide opens the lesson’s slides in a new tab.
- Additional Lesson Resources links to the lesson’s folder in the Curriculum Library.
- If a student is assigned an assessment, the assessment name links to its Library preview.
Opening these before the session starts means you’ve reviewed the material ahead of time.
From the Curriculum Library
You can also preview any lesson on your own time. Open the Curriculum Library, find the lesson, and preview its resources. As an Instructor you can access the Library and preview lessons, activities, and assessments, but you can’t edit resources or publish curriculum content.
See Browsing the Lesson Library for how to find your way around.
