Signing In for the First Time

Braintrust sends a welcome email when your Spark account is created. Open it, set a password, and sign in - the whole flow takes a couple of minutes. You only set your password once; after that, you sign in with your email and password directly.

Before You Start

  • Look for the welcome email from Braintrust Tutors in your work inbox. The subject line starts with “Braintrust Tutors”. If you don’t see it, check your spam or promotions folder, then ask your school administrator to resend.
  • Use the email address your school registered you with - that’s the address tied to your account.

Setting Up Your Account

  1. Open the welcome email and click Set Up Your Account. The button takes you to the Braintrust platform’s Welcome screen, where you’ll create your password.

  2. Enter a new password, then retype it to confirm. Both fields need to match.

  3. Click Set Password. Your password is saved and you’re sent to the Sign In screen.

Signing In

  1. Enter your email and the password you just set. Use the same email address the welcome email was sent to.

  2. Click Sign In. You’ll land on your Dashboard, with your schedule and the session key on screen.

If your school uses Google or Clever single sign-on, you can skip the email and password fields and click Continue with Google or Continue with Clever instead. Use whichever your administrator set up for you.

Common Issues

I Didn’t Get the Welcome Email

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it’s still missing, ask your school administrator or contact the Braintrust Support Team to resend it.

The Set Up Your Account link expires for security. If you see an error or a blank screen, the link has timed out. Go to the Sign In screen and click Forgot password? to set your password instead - it works the same way for an account that has never been signed in to. If Forgot password? doesn’t email you within a few minutes, ask your administrator or the Braintrust Support Team for a fresh welcome link.

I Forgot My Password

Click Forgot your password? on the Sign In screen. You’ll get an email with a reset link.
