The Spark Platform at a Glance
After you sign in, you land on your Dashboard. Every part of the platform is one click away from the left sidebar. Here’s the quick tour - what each area is for, and where to go for the full how-to.
The Top Bar
Your name and initials appear in the top-right corner. Click your name to open the account menu, where you’ll find Settings and Sign Out. See Updating Your Profile and Signing Out.
The Left Sidebar
Dashboard
Your home screen. It shows the day’s sessions and an Up Next banner highlighting your next one. From a session on your schedule you can assign a lesson, add observations, or confirm whether the session happened. You can move to another day from here too. See Your Daily Schedule on the Dashboard and The Up Next Banner.
Schedule
Your calendar as its own page, separate from the Dashboard’s single-day view.
Students
Your roster of assigned students, under a My Students tab. Switch between a Students view and a Groups view. Click any student to open their profile, or use the Groups view to create and manage groups. See Reading the My Students Table and How to Create a Group.
Faculty
A read-only directory of the other faculty members at your school - principals, designees, and other staff. Use it to look up a colleague’s role, job title, email, or phone number. See Looking Up Faculty at Your School.
Library
Browse the lesson library to preview lessons before you assign them to sessions. See Browsing the Lesson Library.
Reports
Growth and Progress reports for the students assigned to you. Use the Growth Report to track group-level movement from pre-assessment to post-assessment, and Progress Reports to review individual student outcomes. See Reading the Growth Report and Reading a Progress Report.
Support
In-platform help, with a support message and a way to contact support. Start here when something isn’t working or you can’t find what you need. See Where to Find Help in the Platform.
What You’ll Use Most
You’ll spend most of your time on the Dashboard - that’s where you start sessions, assign lessons, and record observations. My Students and Reports come up regularly. Faculty and Library are reference tools you’ll dip into as needed.
