Your Day in Spark
The rest of this Help Center answers “how does this feature work.” This walkthrough answers a different question: what do I actually do, and in what order?
Read it start to finish once and you will have seen your whole day. After that, come back to the reference sections when you need the detail on any one step.
The Loop
Every teaching day runs the same eight steps:
- Start Your Day on the Dashboard - everything you need is already on screen.
- Read Your Schedule - who, when, and what needs you.
- Check What’s on the Session - Spark assigned it already.
- Join the Session - one button, near start time.
- Teach and Launch Work - nothing reaches a student until you launch it.
- End the Session - final, so read the confirmation.
- Record Observations - two minutes while it is fresh.
- Clear Your Action Items - everything Spark is waiting on.
Steps 1 through 3 happen before students arrive. Steps 4 through 6 are the session itself. Steps 7 and 8 are the wrap-up.
What This Walkthrough Skips
It covers the daily loop only. These come up less often and live in their own sections:
- Reviewing a student or a group - see Reading the My Students Table and Group Details Overview.
- Looking back at what you have already taught - see Session History for a Student or Group.
- Reports - see Reading the Growth Report.
- Your account and first sign-in - see Signing In for the First Time.
